At the beginning of the season, Quinn Ewers was widely expected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
His departure holds the door open for Arch Manning to become the starting quarterback for Texas.
Ewers has not looked as good as he did in 2023, which is leading to many thinking he could come back in 2025. However, it wouldn’t be for the Longhorns.
A new rumor has Quinn Ewers not going into the NFL Draft, but taking his talents to the Colorado Buffaloes.
The rumor from TWSN points to Deion Sanders developing Shedeur Sanders into a standout quarterback while suggesting he could do the same for Ewers.
“Ewers would step into an offense with a lot of talent that is made to push the ball down the field and make big plays. Sanders’ offense would allow Ewers to excel and help propel him up draft boards for the 2026 draft.”
Ewers ended last season with 3,479 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
So far this season, he’s produced 24 touchdowns and 2,307 yards with a 67.3 completion percentage.
College Football Network’s Cam Mellor’s NFL mock draft, published this past weekend, has Quinn Ewers selected by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 112 overall pick in the fourth round.
Ewers has yet to declare for the 2025 NFL draft.
Quinn Ewers Might Seriously Consider Playing Another Year of College Ball
Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers was once projected to be a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Now it looks like Ewers has some work to do in order to climb up and get selected as a top pick.
With his play in 2024, not many have him being selected in the first round, and it could lea to him playing one more year of college ball.
