Uncle Shaq is playing Cupid now! WNBA star Angel Reese may have it all, but it’s her love life that could use a reboot as per Shaquille O’Neal.

The Chi-Town Barbie has dated a celebrity athlete before, but it didn’t work out. Right now, she seems to be looking for just “happiness”.

She even almost pledged that she’d keep her next relationship private unless it led to marriage.

However, in the latest episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, the 4 x NBA champion himself has offered some help and guidance.

Shaq stepped into the role of part-time cupid by first asking Reese if she was single.

With her confirmation, the Lakers legend declared he’d find the right person for her. He first asked Reese whether she liked long hair or short hair.

The 22-year-old, taken aback, said she had no preference. “You should have a preference,” O’Neal stated. But Reese had a reply for him, “I don’t have a preference in hair.” So Shaq decided to take things into his own hands.

“I’ll pick for you. Long hair. If it was long, would you be able to braid it?” he hilariously asked. “The answer is yes. Who’s your favorite 70s and 80s R&B group? I’ll tell you. El DeBarge.” After this, the 4x NBA champ finally decided to suggest one name.

“You’re going to like this one. I got a mfer so beautiful, I’m telling you. Me and him hang out all the time and the girls don’t even look at me, they look at him,” Shaq claimed on the podcast. Taking Reese by surprise, Shaq then revealed that the perfect match was actually right there in the room.

 “Where?” Reese asked, looking around eagerly. After securing her permission to reveal the guy, Shaq called out, “Christian!”

The mystery man, apparently a good friend of Shaq, stepped forward, although only his back was visible on camera.

Reese urged him to show his face, but Christian moved away even when the camera panned in.

However, Reese did manage to get one answer out of him, whether he was single. To which he replied, “Yes.” Although she didn’t seem interested, Reese did give a shout-out to him.

Shaq further added, “If I was light skin, I’d be Christian. My beard would be neatly manicured, I had the little braids in the back. Lightskin guys are coming back!”

Reese then asked Shaq to be realistic and revealed that her unc always refuses her choices.

“You want me to be single forever?” the Chicago Sky forward asked. Shaquille O’Neal said no and again asked her what type of man she’s looking for.

Reese confidently stated, “I’m not looking for a man… I’m just looking for happiness in life… A high calibered man. A smart, nice, genuine, he cannot be a house husband… I want people to think my man is attractive.” Shaq ended the conversation by stating, “My point is, you have to decide what you want. I want somebody smart, I want somebody that knows me, and I want somebody that can’t be persuaded.”

It’s only been a few months since her breakup with athlete boyfriend Cam’Ron Fletcher, so we’ll have to wait and see if this new connection is what she’s been looking for.

Reese’s romance with Florida State Seminoles guard Cam’Ron Fletcher was quite public, with both sharing several pictures of each other on their Instagram accounts.

One standout post featured the two in matching pajama suits, which received plenty of love from fans.

However, things changed in March of this year. Fletcher initially posted about their breakup on his Instagram but quickly deleted it.

“Stop DM me, I’ve been single for a min. All I mess with genuine sh-t, I got all the respect and love for her but me & that young lady are not together,” Cam’Ron wrote on his IG story.

Nonetheless, quick-eyed college basketball fans managed to capture screenshots of the post. The split was confirmed later. Reese also discussed the breakup on her podcast, expressing regret over how publicly it played out.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get in, like I had a public breakup but like obviously I didn’t get what you received. But I don’t think I would get into another public relationship unless I’m getting married,” Reese shared.

Now, Reese is clear about what she wants, someone who understands her demanding schedule and appreciates her work. While it’s too early to say if this match will go anywhere, extra points to Shaquille O’Neal for finding a candidate!
