Reunited at the Lakers, LeBron James and his son Bronny have written basketball history by playing together.

But everything is not rosy for them at the moment either since the duo is facing serious accusations, in a car accident case.

On the court, they must have lived a real waking dream against the Timberwolves. It was official at the end of the second quarter: LeBron James and Bronny became the first father-son duo to play together on an NBA court .

The King’s offspring only played two minutes, but it was more than enough to make history.

We can hardly imagine the immense pride that the Lakers superstar must have felt on this Tuesday, October 22, 2024, he who accomplished his dream of playing with his son

. The story is all the more beautiful since the latter’s life almost ended following a cardiac arrest during the summer of 2023, after which the young man managed to return to the field. 

Legal troubles for the LeBron/Bronny duo

Needless to say, the mood is festive in Los Angeles, but there are still some shadows on the horizon.

Beyond the accusations of nepotism surrounding Bronny, he and his father find themselves at the heart of serious legal problems.

As revealed by TMZ , the duo is accused of causing a major road accident:

In their complaint, April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen claim they were driving on a highway on Nov. 13, 2022, in Littlerock, California, when the Jameses struck them. Lopez and McGillen said in the documents that they suffered injuries that will require additional medical treatment.

They also claim the car they were driving was damaged and lost value as a result of the crash. They are suing the two NBA stars for unspecified damages.

Serious accusations, although some question the timing of the revelation:

Cades Attorney : Ahhh yeah, they have injuries from 2 years ago that suddenly require medical attention when Bronny comes to the NBA.

We imagine that there will be at most an amicable arrangement between the two parties, but it is true that the timing of these accusations against LeBron and his son is quite suspicious. Case to follow therefore, even if it should not impact their season.
