Dana White does not hesitate to show favoritism towards certain fighters, especially when it comes to Jon Jones.

The UFC boss recently did it again with a furious tirade about the heavyweight champion.

It is no secret to absolutely no one within the UFC: Jon Jones is the darling par excellence of president Dana White.

In fifteen years of activity within the MMA organization, the American fighter has never ceased to see his boss take his defense or highlight him.

Even when “Bones” was sentenced to prison and was mired in murky legal affairs.

Himself known for his sometimes controversial positions, White is notably convinced that his favorite is the greatest fighter in history and above all, the king of the pound for pound ranking at the moment.

Except that the latter saw him fall to third position recently… and unsurprisingly, the businessman literally lost his cool on the subject in an interview with Kevin Iole:

This is the most ridiculous, shameful, stupid thing ever.

These guys don’t know anything about combat sports.

To put anyone above Jon in that ranking just shows you don’t know anything about it.

It’s not like Jon Jones and I have this amazing relationship.

What I say about Jon Jones, there’s no debating that.

White forgets to mention that it’s been more than a year since JJ last fought… He was injured a few days before a fight against Stipe Miocic (which will finally take place next November), but the fact is that the American star was inactive for months unlike his peers.

Once again, the UFC boss is showing quite impressive favoritism that doesn’t please everyone.

Jon Jones is now only third in the pound-for-pound rankings in the UFC.

Logical in a way since he was absent, except in the eyes of Dana White who sees this as pure and simple heresy. His favorite will appreciate the clear stance.
