Angel Reese is much more than a basketball star. So much so that her fans are just as captivated by her off-court life as they are by her on-court skills.

For months, the buzz around her dating life has sparked some rumors, but the Chi-Town Barbie has remained single since her breakup with Cam’Ron Fletcher nearly seven months ago.

While she’s been enjoying her single status, Reese recently opened up about what she’s looking for in a future partner—and didn’t hold back on what truly irks her about men.

Recently, the Sky forward sat alongside model Kayla Nicole in the latest episode of her podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’ where the two touched on what kind of partner to look for.

While Nicole suggested dating men with power is challenging Reese also weighed in and said, “I feel like it’s hard for me to like date another man with power because they kind of know like I’m not going for your BS like you know I’m not going for the stuff that other women may be absolutely okay with and I feel like that’s really hard for me.”

Reese and fellow college basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher had a whirlwind romance that captured fans’ attention. Their relationship began after a six-year friendship, which Reese revealed during her appearance on the 1 Star Recruits podcast in June 2023.

However, just months later, in March 2024, Reese confirmed that they had parted ways, marking the end of a chapter in her life.

However, Reese’s idea for a future partner suggests she might have moved on from her past. But she also revealed what she doesn’t like about men. “I feel like the corniest thing a man could say to me ‘let me climb that tree’. That will p*ss me off that like one on one for your heart. What, please, like I’ll play for your number let me climb that tree I can knock that tree down,” mentioned the LSU alumna.

While Reese hasn’t dropped any hints about who she might be dating next, she has opened about her preferences and what she doesn’t want in a partner. Well, she also addressed her breakup with Fletcher, sharing her thoughts and feelings on the end of their relationship.

Now, with a more mature outlook, she vows not to go public with her love life again unless it’s for marriage.

The Chi-Town Barbie said, “I don’t think I’ll ever get in, like I had a public breakup but like obviously I didn’t get what you received. But I don’t think I would get into another public relationship unless I’m getting married.”

 She also noted how, since her breakup, people have been paying close attention to every little detail of her life, including her interactions on social media.

“Like the next… it was just… it’s too much like people knowing when y’all unfollowing each other and don’t follow each other. And they’re in the comments like even for his sake. Like the fallout was bad but like me they post their commenting under his pictures. I don’t even like that. Like obviously his name wasn’t as big as mine but like just being able to see them commenting on his pictures of my name. Just leave it, I don’t like that. I agree it’s just too much for me,” said Reese.

For now, Angel Reese embraces her singlehood. While she’s focusing on self-discovery and setting clear boundaries for her future relationships, she is prioritizing personal growth and the qualities that truly matter to her.
