Presidential polls latest: Trump and Kamala Harris head to Michigan in latest fight for the swing state

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are campaigning in Michigan Friday as they try and convince voters in the critical swing state to vote for them in just 18 days.

Harris has a 72 percent chance of beating Donald Trump according to the stock market, with less than three weeks to Election Day.

A new Emerson College poll also shows her with a commanding 24-point lead over Donald Trump among voters who decided in the last month.

Early voting began today in three more states – LouisianaHawaii and Washington.

Vice President Kamala Harris again played video clips of former President Donald Trump at a campaign event – this time in front of autoworkers in Lansing, Michigan reminding them that the GOP nominee once said a ‘child’ could do their jobs.

Both Harris and Trump are barnstorming Michigan on Friday, with Harris making her second stop of the day at a United Auto Workers’ union hall in the Michigan state capital.

‘Make no mistake, Donald Trump is no friend to labor. He is no friend to labor. And we’ve got to listen to what he says,’ Harris said. ‘In fact, can we roll the clip?’

After a brief pause, Trump’s face popped up onscreen, with the real estate developer saying that he ‘used to hate to pay overtime’ and would ‘go out and get other people and let them work regular time.’

In another clip Trump says they ‘build everything in Germany and then they assemble it here.’

‘They get away with murder,’ he went on. ‘Because they say, “oh yes, we’re building cars.” They don’t build cars. They take them out of a box and they assemble them.’

‘We could have our child do it,’ Trump said.

Harris also played the clip of Trump telling Elon Musk that striking workers would be ‘all gone’ and the GOP nominee saying that the leader of the UAW, Shawn Fain – who backs Harris – ‘should be fired immediately.’

The clips prompted boos from the audience in the pivotal swing state.

‘Donald Trump, listen to his words. He’s saying that autoworkers are essentially engaged in child’s play. That children could do it,’ Harris said. ‘He thinks that the value of your work is essentially meaningless, to compare it to child’s work. When we here know the work you do is complex.’

Trump responds with fury after Harris questions his stamina, saying she ‘doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit’

By Geoff Earle, Deputy U.S. Political Editor

Donald Trump hit back with fury Friday after Kamala Harris said he seemed ‘exhausted.’

Harris was picking up on a report that Trump’s team cited fatigue for backing out of an interview, following reports Trump had nixed several planned appearances.

‘If he’s exhausted on the campaign trail, is he fit to do the job?’ Harris asked while both candidates were appearing in Michigan.

Trump, who had blasted Harris in an appearance at the Al Smith dinner in New York where he repeatedly questioned her intelligence, hit back later.

‘What event did I cancel? I haven’t canceled,’ said Trump. She doesn’t go to any events. She’s a loser. She doesn’t go to any events. She didn’t even show up with the Catholics last night at the hotel. It was insulting,’ he said.

Trump said he was on Fox & Friends at 7 am, although in fact he appeared at 8 am, and the hosts attached a microphone to his jacket on the air, suggesting he might have been late.

‘I’ve gone 48 days now without a rest. And I’ve got that loser, who doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit,’ Trump said
