Lady Louise Windsor, who followed in the footsteps of her cousin Prince William and his wife Princess Kate by choosing to attend St Andrews University, is living a life of luxury while continuing her education.

The 20-year-old daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh resides at the Scottish university during term time.

However, her accommodation is far from typical student digs.

Accustomed to the opulence of her family home in Bagshot Park, Surrey, Lady Louise’s university halls are equally plush.

The young royal is believed to have lived in St Salvator’s Hall in her first year – an accommodation known for its luxury.

St Salvator’s Hall, or ‘Sallies’ as it’s fondly called, offers catered meals.

Students dine in the dining room, with the option to make light snacks in the shared kitchen.

The common room provides a space for relaxation, complete with a piano, TV, and snooker table.

For those in shared accommodation, the price per year is £8,083, including £3,083 in catering costs. Those not sharing need to fork out £8,882 per year, including £3,083 in catering costs, according to the university website.

The same halls were also once home to the Prince and Princess of Wales.

As well as catered meals, the halls also include a professional cleaning service that visits weekly.

Every resident of Sallies has the opportunity to dine at the High Table.

This is where a small group of students are selected to attend a formal dinner with a prominent member of the community or academic staff.
