Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly keen to heal the rift with the Royal Family as a new threat emerges, according to an expert.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be redoubling their efforts to repair their fraught ties with the Royal Family, as concerns about their future mount.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been somewhat alienated from the British monarchy, are reportedly intensifying their efforts at reconciliation as the 2024 US elections are fast approaching, the Express reports.
This development follows comments made earlier in the month by Donald Trump’s son Eric, who expressed his and his father’s deep respect for the late Queen Elizabeth.
He remarked: “What I can tell you is, my father had so much respect for the [late] Queen, as did I. My mum knew so many of them for years and had a great relationship with Diana.”

He also touched on the status of the Sussexes, saying: “It’s a sacred institution. You can happily have those two [Meghan and Harry], we might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own.”
Eric Trump further commented on the integrity of the Royal Family: “You can always have bad actors in everything. You can have spoiled apples in every orchard. The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.”
Meghan and Harry have had frosty relations with the Firm since stepping down as senior royals in January 2020. Things went from bad to worse after the Sussexes’ released their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which was later followed by the duke’s tell-all memoir Spare at the beginning of 2023.
It is not known if the Sussexes’ are currently on speaking terms with the Royal Family with Harry last seeing his father in February of this year when he rushed back to the UK to see him after news of the King’s cancer diagnosis broke.
