Princess Kate is reportedly the talk of the town in the US, overshadowing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry who have seemingly failed to make a significant impact in Los Angeles, an insider has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to California in 2020, the same year they decided to step back from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.

Despite residing in Montecito for almost half a decade, the pair have “dropped out of the conversations” in the US, a confidante and adviser to the Royal Family has claimed.

The source disclosed to The Times: “What they haven’t been able to do is create a public presence that’s respected and popular.

“I was in LA recently and was struck by how they’re not the topic of conversation.

“Everyone wanted to know about the King and Kate’s health. Harry and Meghan have dropped out of the conversation.”

Princess Kate underwent major abdominal surgery in January and spent a fortnight recuperating in the London Clinic hospital.

In March, the Princess of Wales revealed in a public video message that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

The mother of three also revealed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.

In February, King Charles revealed he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and, much like Kate, was undergoing treatment.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched down in Cali, southwest Colombia, on August 18 for the final day of their South American tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted warmly by the locals of the city, renowned for its lively street parties, rumba and salsa dancing, and vibrant parades.

While in Cali, the royal couple participated in a forum aimed at celebrating and empowering Afro-Colombian women, where Meghan delivered a speech.
