Angel Reese revealed she is categorically not interested in a boyfriend following her impressive rookie season in the WNBA, having confirmed her split from a fellow basketball star worth millions
Angel Reese has claimed she is “not looking for a man” after breaking up with her millionaire basketballer ex-boyfriend.
The WNBA sensation recently welcomed four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neil on her podcast – ‘Unapologetically Angel’ – for an unfiltered chat. One of the many topics they covered was relationships and dating advice, with the Los Angeles Lakers legend asking the 22-year-old Chicago Sky power forward about the type of men she is interested in.
Reese, who has become one of the main faces in women’s basketball since winning the 2023 NCAA championship and earning an all-star spot in her rookie WNBA season, insisted she was currently more focused on personal growth than romance.
She initially answered O’Neal’s question by saying: “I’m not looking for a man. I’m looking just for happiness in life.”
When pressed by O’Neal for details on her dream guy, Reese admitted she seeks “a high calibre man. A smart, nice and genuine man. But he cannot be a house husband.”
She continued to answer Shaq’s questions by revealing her lofty standards. The Maryland talent pointed out: “I like danger. I want people to think my man is attractive yes. He’s got to be a strong, confident man.”
The 6ft 3in athlete and influencer recently called it quits with college basketball star Cam’Ron Fletcher. Reese confirmed her split from the Florida State Seminoles player in March, telling her millions of Instagram followers: “Yeah, I’m single. I don’t got no man. Don’t attach me to no man. That’s all I’mma say. That’s it.”
She first met Fletcher around six years ago through basketball and the pair grew closer during the pandemic. They enjoyed their first holiday together to Jamaica shortly after, where they got matching tattoos with each other’s names.

The former college basketball power couple both have NIL deals, with Fletcher himself boasting a staggering net worth of between $1million and $3m as of last year. He has endorsement deals with Rising Spear and Urban Outfitters.
Meanwhile, Reese has an impressive net worth of around $2m. She was able to secure a multi-year Reebok contract once O’Neal took charge as the president of the brand’s basketball division.
Despite her reluctance to date at this moment in time, Reese previously confessed that she was open to dating an NBA player in the future. She shut down claims that she was dating Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant in September after they were spotted sitting next to each other courtside at last summer’s Paris Olympics.
