Before the WNBA returns next week, Caitlin Clark spent her weekend in New York City, with a Saturday trip to Yankee Stadium.

Clark made it clear, her favorite part of being at the home of the New York Yankees was meeting Aaron Judge.

Judge and Clark met before the Yankees doubleheader against the Texas Rangers.

The Yankees defeated the Rangers in the afternoon part of the doubleheader 8-0, as the defending World Series champions have not been able to muster the same form this season.

Clark should be headed back to Indianapolis soon, as the Fever return to action Friday against the Phoenix Mercury.

The WNBA has been on a break since the All-Star game, which doubled as a send-off for Team USA to the Olympics.

Clark was part of the dozen WNBA All-Stars who defeated Team USA last month, leading to concerns that this year’s American team may be prone to defeat.

The American Olympic team has been undefeated in Paris and will play France on Sunday for a gold medal.

The beginning to Clark’s professional career after being drafted No 1 overall by the Fever in April has brought unprecedented attention to the WNBA.
