Home fans at Madison Square Garden voiced strong disapproval of Cardi B’s presence at the New York Knicks’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

The 32-year-old rapper was among the excited crowd who came to cheer for the Knicks as they faced off against the struggling Bucks.

Seated courtside with rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie in a head-to-toe burgundy ensemble, the “I Like It” singer wore a leather overall that highlighted her curvy physique.

Cardi B also rocked a shearling coat, paired with patent heels and an Hermès Kelly bag in wine-red crocodile leather.

During the third quarter of the game, the Grammy winner waved to the crowd after being shown on the jumbotron.

However, instead of cheers, Cardi B received a resounding chorus of boos from the audience, signaling their displeasure with her presence.

The unexpected moment was caught on camera and drew attention from online users.

While some called it an “embarrassing” scenario, others expressed a desire for the rapper to be removed from the arena.

“Take out Cardi B,” one commented on the Knicks’ official Instagram account.

Another fan expressed the same sentiment and wrote, “Get her away from everything Knicks-related, please,” while another said, “Why is she there? She has no right to be there.”

One even poked fun and commented, “Cardi is the reason Brunson played like buns today.”

For those not in the know, Knicks supporters had previously accused Cardi B of “cursing” their team, citing that the team lost to the Philadelphia 76ers during a playoff game in May 2024.

This came after the award-winning rapper and her husband, Offset, were shown on the jumbotron moments before the Knicks wasted a six-point lead with 29 seconds left and allowed the Sixers to force overtime and eventually win.

Aside from Cardi B, other music artists like Drake and Sabrina Carpenter have also been accused of cursing sports teams.

However, fans may soon rethink the “Cardi B curse,” as the Knicks went on to defeat the Bucks with a score of 116-94.
