On Thursday (January 9), the 35-year-old appeared on ITV’s Loose Women, where she discussed her upcoming tour with panellists Charlene White, Frankie Bridge, Sue Cleaver, and Katie Piper. Preparing to step out on the stage solo, Nadiya expressed how excited she was to take on the new challenge next month.
But during her candid chat, Loose Women’s Sue wanted to find out more about her previous relationship with Strictly co-star Kai. Digging beyond the surface, Sue probed: “Last time you were here you were with Kai. And I think you said openly that you’ve broken up now. I just wanted to know how do you manage that situation, you’re a great example of how to manage – I mean with all had break-ups and stuff- but how do we carry on working with each other?

“Do you find it an easy thing to do, to separate it all?”
Opening up, Nadiya replied: “Well, I don’t think any break-up is easy. But we’re professionals, so we obviously knew that we would have to go back to work together, and that’s what we do.”
Trying to ensure the conversation regarding her tour remained on track, Nadiya added: “I think in life it’s about how you deal with things. It’s so much thrown to us and you need to deal with things and maybe at some point we’ll be able to talk about it but right now, it’s all about the tour.”

Nadiya and Kai, who are both professional dancers on the BBC show split in June 2023 after two years of dating. The pair reportedly drifted apart due to the pressures of touring together and frequently being in each other’s space.
In October 2024, Nadiya appeared to hint that there could be tension between as she admitted that she’s “not friends” with Kai. Talking to the Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards, the mother-of-one shared her thoughts.
She confessed: “We work together but we are not friends and that’s ok. One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional.”
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV1.
