Most fans are betting that Swift will start rolling on her highly-anticipated feature-length flick with Searchlight Pictures. Back in 2022, Swift revealed her plans to helm her debut movie with the company, post-her acclaimed stints directing music videos.

Since the announcement, there’s been radio silence from both camps on project advancements, likely owing to Swift’s jam-packed agenda, featuring two new records, a pair of re-recorded albums, a concert film, and a world tour, reports the Express US.

As 2025 remains vague in her diary, fans are crossing their fingers for Swift to turn the lens on her cinematic endeavor. There’s chatter about the cameras rolling next year and whispers of a debut screening come 2026.

Swifties are buzzing with speculation over whether Taylor Swift’s upcoming film could be adapted from a novel she penned at just 14-years-old, titled ‘A Girl Named Girl.’ Reportedly, the book tells of a mother who yearned for a son instead of a daughter, and it’s said that only Swift’s parents hold a copy of this rare manuscript.
