Known as one of the brightest stars in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark has earned plenty of well-deserved attention. And now she has even added ‘golfer’ to her resume. But you know it’s not just her drive on the court or on the greens that’s impressive. CC has established her image as a philanthropist, too. As much as she’s passionate about it, it seems like good things just follow her around.
For instance, very recently, CC unknowingly raised $1,000 for charity with just a simple gesture while enjoying a meal in an Italian restaurant. So, what happened was while the 2024 draftee was dining at Village Gallace, owned by Luigi Gallace, the owner noticed a familiar face among the patrons.
He immediately approached her, and Clark, being her gracious self, agreed to sign a basketball that was sitting in one of the restaurant’s collection boxes. The signed ball was later donated to a local charity: Pinellas County Toys for Tots.
Interestingly, the fan who received the ball decided to auction it off, and it raised $1,000, all of which went directly to the charity. An X post penned, “Caitlin signed a basketball while eating in an Italian restaurant, and it ended up in a charity receiving $1000 😭“. Truly, it has to be the most special random moment.

In case you did not know, Pinellas County Toys for Tots is part of the larger Toys for Tots Foundation, an incredible initiative managed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in Florida. The program provides new, unwrapped toys to children in need during the holidays.
But these random spottings show that the Indiana Fever star has been enjoying her off-season. After a standout rookie year in the WNBA, she could have easily jumped into other basketball-related projects or overseas commitments. However, she decided to take the time out for herself and for a while, head straight to the golf course, participating in the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am event. However, while she was out there playing golf and unknowingly raising funds for charity, her own charity, the Caitlin Clark Foundation, was also getting some big love.
Very unexpectedly, Clark’s Foundation received a generous $22,000 donation through Gainbridge’s Parity Week program. Let us tell you that the W Star’s foundation is all about uplifting youth through education, sports, and nutrition programs.
Gainbridge, who partnered with the Indiana Fever back in 2021, wanted to do their part in empowering women in sports and education, and what better way to do so than by supporting CC’s foundation working for the same?

A spokesperson from Gainbridge shared, “We talked about Parity Week and the 21 sponsors over 14 states. With number 22 in the house today, we really couldn’t leave it on number 21, and so we wanted to have one more gift to go to the Caitlin Clark Foundation.”
So, what does $22,000 mean for the Caitlin Clark Foundation? It’ll fund all the great programs they’ve put in place. And you can bet Caitlin’s thrilled about this new partnership. But indeed, the 23-year-old’s impact is spreading in more ways than one. And we should already get used to seeing her making meaningful changes.
