The daughter of ex-MLB star Greg Swindell has been found safe after she was reporting missing last week.

The World Series-winning pitcher, 59, had pleaded for help to find his daughter, Brenna, who he said went missing from Austin, Texas, after her ex-boyfriend left a concerning handwritten note.

On Tuesday, the Texas Longhorn legend said on X: ‘She has been found. That’s all we have for now. Thank you to everyone. And I mean everyone who helped in the process.’

Swindell and his wife Sarah said they feared the 29-year-old was with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, who they allege is ‘violent’ and ‘is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month’.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said Brenna was found with Guidry, who has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The mother-of-three was last seen at a bar in State Highway 71; her missing white KIA was reportedly last spotted on I-25 in Colorado on Friday evening, with possible sightings of Guidry and the van in Colorado Springs on Sunday evening.

They also said that Brenna left without making contact with her three children, which they claim she would never do without explanation.

‘Our daughter Brenna Swindell has not been seen or heard from in the Austin area since late Thursday afternoon,’ the Swindell family said on Facebook .

‘Her phone is off and she has not been in contact with family, friends, and most importantly her children. Her ex-boyfriend in the photo has a warrant and is violent so PLEASE if you have seen or heard from either one of them, let us know. She drives a white Kia Carnival which has not been located yet.’

They later added an update: ‘They were seen together Thursday night and we have managed to get a GPS on the KIA that is now in Colorado. Both phones seem to be there but both are turned off. License Plate VFS7528 White Kia Carnival.’

Swindell confirmed that he had been in touch with Guidry’s father, who had been cooperating and aiding with the search.

‘Please continue to pray for the safe return,’ he added. ‘Thank you all so much again.’

A later update from the family confirmed that a missing persons report had been filed with the Department of Public Safety with the Austin Police Department leading the investigation.

However, the family said they had no further leads beyond the car going through a reader in Colorado on Friday evening as both Brenna and Guidry’s phones have been switched off.

‘Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what. I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger,’ Sarah wrote in a joint Facebook post from family members.

Left desperate without any encouraging leads, they continued to urge the public, especially those located in Colorado, to keep coming forward with tips

‘We SO appreciate all the leads and the offers of help from people in Colorado,’ the family said.

‘But we have no idea where in Colorado they are, or if they are even still there. PLEASE keep the tips coming of any sightings or information.’

Swindell issued another plea later Monday morning, asking people in Idaho to be on the lookout, which suggests that there is belief Brenna could also be there.

Brenna, a hair stylist at a salon in Austin, last posted on Facebook on August 13.

Swindell, a Houston native, is a Texas Longhorn legend, and former Astros player.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 1986 MLB draft made his Big League debut just weeks after the Cleveland Guardians selected him.

A one-time All-Star, Swindell logged a 3.86 ERA in his career, pitching for several teams, including the Guardians, Reds, Astros, Twins, Red Sox and Diamondbacks.
