Liberal media stunned by voter responses despite their ‘propaganda’ effort to back Kamala

Journalists from liberal news outlets appear to have been left stunned after voters showed a preference for Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in a series of on-the-street interviews.

One clip going viral on X shows broadcaster Don Lemon interviewing strangers in Atlantic City, NJ, and finding many agreed they felt more financially stable under Trump’s presidency.

And in one toe-curling exchange, a voter laughs in Lemon’s face after the journalist tried to argue with his personal experience. In another instance he sensationally asks a male interviewee if his resistance to Harris is because ‘she is a woman.’

A second clip from left-leaning ABC News shows a woman saying that she was considering voting for Trump because Harris ‘has just been kind of caught up in a lot of lies.’

It comes after it emerged the Democratic presidential candidate’s ‘honeymoon’ period with the liberal media appeared to come to a crashing end after her ‘communist’ plan to control food prices prompted outrage. Critics have previously suggested Harris has benefitted from ‘propaganda’ among left-leaning titles while enjoying strong polling numbers since taking over from Joe Biden.

Most notably, she was pictured on the cover of Time magazine despite giving no media interviews in the first three weeks of her presidential run.

But the latest clips appear to show the media adulation is failing to have an impact on ordinary voters despite a slew of polls seeming to show Harris is leading over her opponent.

The clip of Lemon, which has 2.1 million views, begins with him asking a stranger on the street: ‘Who do you support?’

The man replies: ‘Trump for the win.’

When Lemon probes him further, he continues: ‘I can’t really call that right now. But I just feel like [Harris] isn’t good for President. She’s good for Vice. But not the actual lead role in the country.’

The journalist then asks the young man if his opinion has ‘anything to do with her being a woman’ to which he responds resolutely: ‘no.’

He added: ‘Because I feel like women, nah I’m not going to give you that.’

Another voter explained that ‘she doesn’t have any experience.’

An incredulous Lemon replied: ‘She’s the Vice President! She’s the Senator.’

A female voter is then filmed telling the journalist: ‘I want Donald Trump. I just feel we need somebody who has a stronger background with the military and the world in general.’

She later added: ‘I know nobody likes him but we had good times with Donald Trump. Our economy was good. Life was good.’

A fourth voter tells the journalist: ‘I want to support the Democratic party, but I mean Trump looks like he’s got it in the bag right now.’

Lemon is heard telling two voters that the ‘stats show’ the economy was stronger under Biden than Trump to which they both dismiss his assertations.

The clip was posted by Trending Politics co-founder Colin Rugg and attracted a flurry of comments criticizing Lemon.

One said: ‘The level of entitlement telling someone they’re wrong about their own financial situation is truly mind-blowing.’

Another wrote: ‘I love seeing Don Lemon fall flat on his face. Sorry Don, people actually like our Don!’

A third comment read: ‘He tried to deny a person’s actual experience. Disgusting.’

A separate clip from an ABC street interview in Wisconsin has also gone viral on X, amassing 36,000 views.

A young, black woman is filmed telling the interviewer: ‘I’m leaning towards Trump.’

When probed, the voter explains she thinks Kamala is repurposing a lot of policies which Trump has already pledged.

‘A lot of the stuff Kamala says is a lot of the stuff Trump has said like no taxes on tips. It was something that was kind of reiterated by Trump beforehand. She’s just been kind of caught up in a lot of lies.’

The comment was in reference to a statement backed by Harries on Monday where she endorsed eliminating taxes on tips.

The policy, which has proved popular with service industry workers, was first proposed by Trump.

It prompted the Republican candidate to hit out at his opponent on his platform, Truth Social.

He wrote: ‘Kamala Harris, whose ‘Honeymoon’ period is ENDING, and is starting to get hammered in the Polls, just copied my NO TAXES ON TIPS Policy.

‘The difference is, she won’t do it, she just wants it for Political Purposes! This was a TRUMP idea – She has no ideas, she can only steal from me. Remember, Kamala has proposed the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY – It won’t happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!’

Left-leaning outlets have come under scrutiny for giving Harris unfairly positive coverage.

Former Republican congressman Zach Wamp last week said the current Vice President was on a ‘honeymoon period.’

He told Sky News Australia: ‘The media is kind of helping repackage her as if she’s not a progressive and not a real liberal. Nobody’s really holding her to account.’

Harris has also been criticized for obsessively dodging media interviews. She has not given a single sit-down interview or formal press conference despite being three weeks into her presidential campaign.

Similarly, journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote on X: ‘The way the US corporate media transformed Kamala Harris from a national embarrassment to a transformative pioneer overnight — without even pretending to care about anything that she thinks or believes — is a powerful testament to how potent the science of propaganda is.’
