Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary issues urgent warning to Kamala Harris ahead of the election: ‘Huge mistake’
Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary has warned Democrats that they may have made a ‘huge mistake’ in bestowing the nomination on Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking with Fox News‘ Rachel Campos-Duffy on Saturday, O’Leary argued that the Democrats might be getting ahead of themselves.
The financial guru said there was a good chance that they now have a second version of Hillary Clinton on their hands after ‘assuming [Kamala] would win’.
He told the outlet: ‘It’s 50-50, she may win, she may lose. This whole party, the Democratic Party, is going to revisit what happened here because they did the same thing with Hillary Clinton.
‘It was assumed she would win, they anointed her, she lost. Harris is assumed a winner by atonement.’

The 70-year-old said there was a good chance that they now have a second version of Hillary Clinton on their hands after ‘assuming [Kamala] would win’
He continued: ‘If she loses, the party will never do this to itself again because they missed the opportunity to run a process and suck up another week of airtime — and they didn’t do it.’
O’Leary then went on to reference California Governor Gavin Newsom who has seemingly mocked the process of Harris being picked as the nominee.
Speaking on Pod Save America, Newsom was asked about the ‘switch’ from Biden to Harris, and sarcastically repeated points that Democrats have said about it.
He said: ‘Now, we went through a very open process, a very inclusive process’, shifting his tone in voice much to the delight of the hosts.
Newsom continued: ‘It was bottom up, I don’t know if you know that. That’s what I’ve been told to say.’
O’Leary said what Newsom had joked about was one of the few points him and the Governor agree on.
He continued: ‘I’m not saying she’s going to lose, but I would have never let that happen if I’m selling a business.
‘I tell my managers, never bring me one offer, bring me a process, show me there’s no other bid out there that I want, then I’ll make a decision if I’m selling. I was amazed they didn’t do that here.’

Harris garnered the endorsements of several high-profile Democrats after Biden announced his shock decision to stand down from the election.
Other candidates had been seemingly floated by members of the party including Newsom, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
Despite this, none of the supposed candidates outside of Harris made any real traction, and Biden’s endorsement of her caused others in the party to follow.
On Thursday night, Harris officially accepted the Democratic presidential nomination after a week of rallying the party faithful in Chicago.
