Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky endured a frustrating trip back home following a disappointing loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday night.

The Sky haven’t quite jumped out of the blocks since the WNBA’s restart. They have won just one of their three games, a victory over the Los Angeles Sparks sandwiched between two losses to the Mercury.

As if the loss wasn’t depressing enough, Chicago players had to deal with multiple hindrances on their way back to The Windy City. And a frustrated Reese would take to social media to vent.

“Why is it 3:47am and we still not home???,” she wrote.

“real question is why are you awake lol,” a fan inquired.

Reese referred them to teammate Diamond DeShields’ Instagram Story, which outlined the annoying return home.

“We got off the plane — well, we didn’t get off the plane. We were sitting on, like, the landing area and they told us our bus was an hour away,” DeShields explained. “They said we had to walk through the airport, get our luggage off of a conveyor belt and now we’re outside waiting for Ubers to take us home at whatever time it is.”

She also posted a clip of her teammates walking through the airport at 3:11 AM, but she was up for a gym session a few hours later, sharing a mirror selfie of herself at the gym at 8:35 on Monday morning.

“Nonetheless….be a pro,” she wrote.

Angel Reese Hit Another WNBA Milestone On Sunday

Despite the inconvenience, Angel Reese and her teammates will be happy not to have to play again until Friday, when they face the Connecticut Sun.

The former LSU star recorded a 20th double-double in her most recent outing, scoring 19 points and a career-high 20 rebounds to become the fastest rookie to reach 20 in WNBA history.
