Reese was in town as she swapped the WNBA for Formula 1.
The Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese had a pinch me moment in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend as the 22-year-old met her favorite actress Taraji P. Henson, leaving her full of emotions.
The WNBA also met Terry Crews, but all of her attention went to Henson as she met the Empire star and checked off a bucket list goal, even receiving a sweet message from the 54-year-old, who also starred in 2010’s The Karate Kid alongside Jackie Chan.
“I am so proud of you, you keep doing what you’re doing,” Henson told Reese.
“You are a force to be reckoned with in so many ways, not just on the court, but in life. I’m so happy to meet you.”
The Sky forward then wasted no time posting the message to social media via her Instagram Story as she gushed over the star actress, who has received nominations at the Academy Awards whilst also winning three Primetime Emmys.
“@tarajiphenson DMVS FINEST,” Reese posted, referencing her birthplace in Washington DC. “Literally my fav omgggg.”
Reese continues to grow from strength to strength
The Unrivaled League will give Reese another opportunity to show her skills as she continues her journey in the world of basketball.
After starring for the LSU Tigers and leading them to a NCAA March Madness Regional Final, she then took her talents to the WNBA after being selected seventh overall by the Chicago Sky.
She went on to have a stellar rookie campaign, setting the single season record for the longest season streak of double-doubles in the WNBA with 10.
