The Unrivaled is reportedly offering Caitlin Clark over $1 million, along with equity, a revenue share from the broadcasting rights, and additional bonuses.

Sounds like a lucrative offer for someone earning $76,535 as a rookie, right?

Plus, there are reports that the league is pressuring Clark to join them.

However, a veteran analyst considered the situation from all points and came to the conclusion that the reigning ROTY should not join them.

On Monday’s episode of his podcast, Jason Whitlock enumerated the reasons Clark should avoid considering the Unrivaled offer while also mocking Angel Reese.

“I wouldn’t do it all. She’s got enough money. Don’t associate. Don’t involve yourself. She’s being pressured and bullied.

Do it for the other girls. You know what, Caitlin, you’ve already done enough for the other girls. You got them flying private; you’ve made the league relevant. You… the WNBA has a future because of you. She doesn’t owe these girls anything. I say just don’t do it. Avoid this league. It’s gonna be an embarrassment. No one wants to watch Angel Reese play half-court basketball. And… all the the rest of these, they’re going to look a lot of them similar to Angel Reese missing a bunch of bunnies. It’s a bad look for women’s basketball. Just don’t do it, Caitlin Clark,” Whitlock expressed.

After Clark was drafted, she brought her NCAA fans into the W. The league, in a one-of-a-kind initiative, pledged to invest $25 million over the next two years to provide players with safe travel via charter flights.

At that time, a lot of people opined that this was happening due to Clark’s presence, who had shown that the W athletes were no less than stars and deserved their own security measures.

Therefore, according to Whitlock, Clark has already done so much for the W players. And she shouldn’t be accepting Unrivaled’s offer just to boost its popularity.

On top of that, the 3X3 basketball is a newer format than the 5X5 basketball. The half-court game is only played for 10 minutes in a quarter, and there are no big stars of the format.

Even when the point guard was previously offered a spot in Ice Cube’s Big3, she had declined the call.

And Whitlock thinks that playing 3X3 basketball will only make stars look like “bunnies,” as stated in the video, especially Angel Reese, who has accepted the proposal from Unrivaled to join them.

Previously, even Rachel DeMita had warned Clark against joining the Miami-based league.

When CC joined the W, she was fresh from an NCAA season. Hence, all year long, she has been in the news.

And now that she got a break as the W ended, DeMita opined that it would be best for her to take a rest. T

hroughout the year, there weren’t only hooping problems but also a sort of mental pressure to continue with the tag of being the best rookie, with her haters stripping her off of her achievements.

“I think she is totally fine, and I think for her body and for her mental health, it might not be the best thing for her.

Because I can only imagine what it was like being in her shoes throughout this entire WNBA season. Not only the kind of physicality, and double teams, and face guards, and all those things that she was receiving on the court. But also all of the noise, all of the drama, all the like media circus surrounding her off the court. Like that just had to have been so much to handle, and so I don’t know if jumping right back into another league that has not been established yet,” DeMita had stated.

Therefore, according to DeMita, Clark should not consider playing in the league. However, she later went back on her words, enumerating that “millions of dollars to play for less than 3 months then that seems like you know a much better offer than even playing in the WNBA.”

The initial statements resonated with many of Clark’s well-wishers since the No. 22 is currently involved in golf and having a great time off the court.

And now Whitlock has shared her reasons for Clark not joining. While the Unrivaled has expanded to 36 players, in a few days from now, it will be clear what decision the generational player takes.
