Qualified for the final, Team USA got a scare this Thursday against Serbia. A real test for Steve Kerr’s men, who expect another tricky match on Saturday against France. LeBron James was honest on the subject.

We will indeed have the right to a France-Team USA for the grand final of the Olympic Games, like 3 years ago in Tokyo.

After all, this roster, as incredible as it may be, came close to elimination on Thursday against Serbia.

Steve Kerr’s men chased the score for almost the entire game, with a 13-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.

Nikola Jokic and his teammates were close to creating the sensation of the tournament, before cracking in the final moments.

LeBron James eager to face the Blues

An ideal booster shot for Team USA before the grand finale.

No doubt Kerr will want a different face on Saturday against the French team, with the desire to take the lead from the first minutes of the match.

The Blues will have to be solid to compete, but LeBron is the first to be wary of this game, especially with Victor Wembanyama in front.

With a crowd on fire, ready to support his players and Wembanyama determined to win gold, Team USA is expecting anything. Here’s what James told reporters at a press conference:

LeBron James after the victory over Serbia : “It’s a big win for us. We knew we would be tested, that it would be the biggest game so far.

I told the team it’s good to be tested. We’re one game away from our goal. We’re looking forward to the game against France on Saturday.”

This will be an opportunity for James to win another gold medal and end his adventure with Team USA in style.

An additional motivation for them, although the French team shows another face in these final stages.
