Model Hailey Bieber made a cryptic post as fans worry about her husband, Justin Bieber. As throwbacks of teenage Justin hanging out with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs bubble up online, the drama heightens following Diddy’s recent run-in with the law.

The blast from the past shows the once-budding star, Bieber, rubbing shoulders with mega-rich rapper Combs, who was arrested in New York City on September 16. The hip hop mogul was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and other charges, which he has denied and pleaded not guilty to. His attorney has painted him as “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”

Hailey, along with her famous other half, have kept quiet about Combs’ scandal, despite clips that resurfaced showing a young Bieber with Combs. The ‘Sorry’ singer has been laying low, making only rare public cameos since the accusations against his mentor surfaced.

Sparking intrigue, Hailey looped in her hefty 53.6 million Instagram crowd on Monday morning, with a snapshot of Justin brazenly flipping off the paparazzi. Shirtless and bold, Justin gives the camera the bird, while wife Hailey tags the moody shot for her massive audience: “Mood.”

Before Combs’ arrest last month, Justin, now 30, was featured on the imprisoned star’s latest album, The Love Album: Off The Grid, and contributed to a track named Moments. In September 2023, prior to any allegations against Combs surfacing, Justin expressed his gratitude for the collaboration with a heartfelt Instagram post.

“I remember going to my brother Diddy’s office to pitch him a song I wrote for him when I was like 14, sadly the song was trash haha,” he posted on his Instagram Story. “And it would be a hard no from him, fast forward to a few years ago Puff asked if I would freestyle something for his upcoming love album. Wild full circle moment, love you @diddy,” he added in the post.

However, following Combs’ arrest, there were rumors of Justin regretting his collaboration on the album. “Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off,” an insider disclosed last month. “So many people who helped to make him who he is were very close to Diddy and it has completely thrown him,” they alleged to the Daily Mail.

The Baby singer was reportedly so distressed that he’s remaining silent about all the allegations. The source further suggested that Bieber is regretting his involvement in Combs’ latest album, implying that the pop star wouldn’t have participated if “he had known any of this.”

It has also been reported that Justin took a “long break” from hanging out with Combs “when he believes most of this took place.”

While Combs is currently held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, reports suggest that Justin is aware of his long-time friend and collaborator’s legal issues but is choosing to focus on fatherhood. A source close to Justin, who recently celebrated the birth of his son Jack with wife Hailey, shared that the new dad has been “in a happy bubble” since Jack’s arrival and “just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband.”

The bond between Justin and Combs was established early on, with a 15-year-old Justin making waves in the music industry after joining Usher’s label and quickly becoming part of his mentor Usher’s crew. Despite the heavy accusations, Combs pleads not guilty, ardently denying all claims. His legal representative, Marc Agnifilo, delivered a message to the press on Tuesday, September 17, declaring: “Mr Combs is a fighter, he’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid, he’s not afraid of the charges.”
