It has been over two months since Angel Reese and Kysre Gondrezick were teammates on the Chicago Sky, where they developed a close friendship. After Gondrezick was waived by the team on June 28, the two have been making time for each other off-court. But it seems like it has been a while since they met, as Reese penned an affectionate letter for her former peer on her Instagram story:

“Miss you pookieeeee 🥹 Come back to Chicago & visit me soon. thanks.”

Gondrezick reposted the story, captioning it:

During her stint with the Sky, Kysre Gondrezick was unable to become a solid part of the team’s rotation. Before she was let go, she only played five games for Chicago this season, averaging 1.0 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 3.4 minutes per game. She is still a free agent and trying to make her comeback to the WNBA.

Angel Reese and Kysre Gondrezick attended Summer League game with Jaylen Brown

Although Gondrezick has been out of the WNBA since late June, she has stayed in the news. After rumors about their relationship, Gondrezick and Jaylen Brown confirmed they were dating when they appeared together at the ESPY Awards.

Angel Reese has occasionally joined the couple on their outings. She was last seen with her former teammate in Las Vegas during the Summer League.

On July 16, Angel Reese, Kysre Gondrezick and Jaylen Brown attended the game between the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics. While watching the game, Reese and Gondrezick had a chance to catch up.

Reese and the Chicago Sky are pushing for the playoff spot in the 2024 season.

They are currently ranked 8th in the WNBA with an 11-16 record and still have 13 games left.

If they can continue with the same pace, Reese and Co. have a fair shot of making the postseason.
