The Lakers suffered a very heavy defeat last night against Denver, led by an absolutely unstoppable Nikola Jokic in attack.
Enough to earn a certain LeBron James a lot of mockery after the final whistle…
The Lakers are having a good start to the season, still in the Top 4 of the Western Conference with 10 wins and six losses.
However, it’s hard to be really confident about them when you see their difficulties in winning against the teams at the top of the table.
We’re thinking in particular of the Magic who recently beat LeBron James at the buzzer, via Franz Wagner.
Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there for them as the Californians took a real beating tonight against the Nuggets (127-102).
Not necessarily successful in this match, LeBron (17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists at 7/17 shooting) could not do anything against the carnage signed Denver and more particularly Nikola Jokic .
Back in business recently after an injury, the Serbian crushed the defense of the Purple and Gold with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists.
LeBron mocked after being dominated by Niko Jokic
As a result, the Chosen One has been the subject of much mockery on social media, with one post on X drawing particular attention to it:
@NBAMemes : LeBron spends $1.5 million a year on his body, all to be one win and thirteen losses away from a big guy like Nikola Jokic 🤔
As we know, the Joker doesn’t have the most athletic body in the league.
A former obese man, he is light years away from having a physique as sharp as the King, who is nevertheless ten years older than him.
On the other hand, that doesn’t stop him from rolling around the league for months, he who has won three MVP titles in four years.
As such, athletic qualities are not everything in the NBA and the Denver superstar is the ultimate proof.
Of course, this speech did not please some Internet users who are fans of the Laker and who immediately came to his defense:
@eatmorebrocklee : Jokic won’t be able to play in 20 years
@algorithmsayshi : Lol it’s to maintain your body after your NBA career. Once you hit puberty you’ll understand.
Nikola Jokic will likely be the face of the league in the first few years following LeBron James’ retirement, whether we like it or not. Their on-court confrontations illustrate that perfectly…
