For over a decade, LeBron James and his wife Savannah have been the perfect couple in the NBA.

The King’s wife in particular does not hesitate to reveal more about their union and recently, she mentioned a strict rule that she had imposed on the superstar in the past.

Fortunately, the Laker stuck to it!

What’s better than celebrating your greatest successes with the people you love? 

LeBron James understood this well, having just won his third Olympic gold medal in Paris.

For the occasion, the Chosen One had decided to bring his wife and children to the French capital.

He was notably seen hugging his youngest son Bryce Maximus after the victory in the final against France:

The four-time MVP has also chosen to stay a little longer in France after the coronation under the colors of Team USA, since he was seen partying with Draymond Green in Cannes .

However, there is no doubt that he is also taking advantage of these few weeks to come without competition to spend time with his family and in particular his wife Savannah, with whom he forms the model couple of the NBA .

Savannah James’ Big Veto For LeBron

Together since high school, the two lovebirds finally got married in September 2013.

Before that, however, Savannah had imposed a strict rule on her partner as she confided on her podcast Everybody’s Crazy :

When I tell you I hate the word “little woman” with all my soul… Don’t call me your little woman because I’m not. I’m not. I had to politely ask my husband at the time.

He used to introduce me by saying, “This is my wife, this is my wife.” I had to tell him, “Excuse me, man, please don’t introduce me like that.

I’m not your wife and I’ll earn that title when the time comes. I don’t want you to start thinking it’s okay to say that about me already.”

At the time, LeBron and Savannah weren’t married yet, so she still had her maiden name.

Suffice to say that until it became official, she had no intention of suddenly being reduced to “Mrs. James,” which was inevitable given her future husband’s fame.

Luckily, he obviously didn’t object, since they are still happily together.

Savannah James is known for being a strong and independent woman who doesn’t just live in the shadow of her four-time NBA champion husband. When you hear this revelation about her relationship with LeBron, it’s easy to see why!
