During Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game, WNBA fans were treated to a double dose of entertainment. Not only did they witness a stunning upset, but they also got a glimpse into some hilarious banters and conversations from the league’s star players.
One hilarious moment came from WNBA star Caitlin Clark during the first half of the game. While chatting with a teammate, Clark promised that “she will launch a bomb” from midcourt for a 3-pointer before halftime.
The Indiana Fever guard, who recently missed the 3-point contest, kept her promise and launched the ball from the midcourt logo. However, she narrowly missed the shot.

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game served up a historic upset as the WNBA All-Stars defeated Team USA 117-109 in a thrilling high-scoring encounter. Dallas Wings’ star Arike Ogunbowale created history as she set a new record for most points in a WNBA All-Star game.
The 27-year-old finished with 34 points and six assists, all coming in the second half of the game.
WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark also entered the record books, setting a rookie record for most assists in an All-Star Game with 10.
Caitlin Clark’s WNBA rival, Angel Reese, was also among the record breakers as she became the first rookie in league history to record a double-double in the All-Star game.
During an in-game interview in the first half, Reese expressed her desire to team up with Clark for the next Olympics.
“It’s so cool. When she gets the ball, I’m running to look for the ball because I know she’s going to throw it,” Reese said. “She’s been great to play with. In the future, we’re going to be playing together a lot. Hopefully in four years we can be on the Olympic team together.”
WNBA fans will most certainly hope to see the WNBA’s two biggest rising stars represent Team USA in the next Olympics in 2028.
