Drake and LeBron James have been friends for years, often spotted together at games and concerts.

Recently, however, rumors surfaced suggesting a possible rift between the Canadian rapper and the LA Lakers star.

The speculation began when LeBron James showed support for Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” on social media.

Joe Budden addressed the rumored conflict on a recent episode of his podcast. Budden acknowledged the tension but noted that it may not be as significant as some believe, but he suggested that the tension might be linked to LeBron’s wife, Savannah.

“The passive-aggressive LeBron-Drake beef is interesting to me. It’s real; it’s happening. Savannah might just really love that shirt, and I don’t speak about people’s wives, but she might just really love that shirt, brand, and Kendrick, and ain’t paying what y’all doing no mind,” Budden said.

“LeBron posing in the picture the way he did with her in the shirt tells me that he saw the Drake post. All the Olympians that were not LeBron, they’ve been going back and forth since this ‘Not Like Us’ sh*t. And it’s interesting to me,” he added.

Team USA secured their spot in the Paris Olympics final with a dramatic 95-91 victory over Serbia. The game was a nail-biter, with the U.S. trailing by as many as 17 points before staging a remarkable comeback. After the game, LeBron James reflected on the factors that allowed Team USA to turn the game around.

“Perseverance, hard work, dedication. Chef Curry, Joel ‘Process’ Embiid. Big-time win for us. We knew it was going to be a challenge, we knew it was going to be the toughest game up to date. It was a true total effort,” James said.

James played a pivotal role in the victory, scoring 16 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and providing 10 assists. Team USA is now set to compete against France in the final, aiming for their fifth consecutive gold medal in the Olympics.
