Team USA wowed audiences with their opening performance, where the members decided to show significant love to Michael Jackson by doing his famous moonwalk while in the water.
It might be one of the more unconventional Olympic sports, but artistic swimming, which was previously referred to as synchronized swimming, is making major headlines this week because of Team USA’s artistic swimming team.
During the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, the talented squad performed Michael Jackson’s iconic moonwalk dance upside down while floating underwater.

The Team USA artistic swimming team also wore outfits inspired by the King of Pop and danced to his 1987 hit “Smooth Criminal,” which is from his seventh solo studio album, Bad.
As seen above, the team could be seen flipping underwater and coordinating their legs in a manner similar to the late pop icon’s during his moonwalk.
