Angel Reese

She struggled away from her loved one

Angel Reese has been having a great time during her first-ever WNBA mid-season break, but she has been desperate to be back in the company of ‘her son’.

The Chicago Sky star has enjoyed a well-earned break with the league halting during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and her not being selected for the squad that headed to the French capital and secured the gold medal.

Now that she is back home, Reese shared an image of her little dog on her Instagram Story and captioned it: “I miss my son @tiago.king5. gma taking good care of him but it’s time to bring him back.”

Clearly the little dog has been in good hands whilst Reese was gone but now she is back to look after him.

Reese’s trip to Paris

Reese may not have been in the Olympics team but she did head to Paris to support them, showing that there is no drama around her not being selected.

She did have to head back to the USA before the gold medal match against France, though, which will have undoubtedly been a disappointment for her.

An ESPN article previewing and projecting the US roster at the 2028 Olympics caught Reese‘s attention on Sunday, shortly after the Americans held on to top France, 67-66, at Bercy Arena in Paris. The Chicago Sky forward took to X/Twitter not to bash the article, but to highlight that the 2024 team was still worth celebrating.

“Leave me out of this until my time comes,” Reese wrote, implying that her time will be at the 2028 Games alongside Indiana Fever duo Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, as well as Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink – who would have been at the Paris Olympics playing for the 3-on-3 team had she not suffered a season-ending knee injury.
