Bryce James and Kiyan Anthony, two high school prospects, are turning heads not just because of their famous fathers, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, but also due to their skills on the basketball court. Bryce, LeBron’s second son, is known for his scoring ability and court vision, much like his dad.
Kiyan’s no slouch either, with his versatility and lockdown defense.
Plus, Bryce and Kiyan are currently sitting at the top two spots in the high school basketball NIL rankings.
Even though Bryce James isn’t as developed as his brother Bronny was at this stage, he’s shown he can compete at the Nike EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League).
Bryce scored over 20 points in a game, hitting 5 shots from beyond the arc against Kiyan Anthony’s team.
While he currently comes off the bench for SFG as a role player, he has the potential to develop his game further in the future.
Kiyan Anthony, also 6’4″, isn’t just a sharpshooter like Bryce, but also a solid athlete.
He leans on his aggressiveness and top-notch skills, thriving at knocking down contested shots—clearly a trait he got from his dad. Kiyan dropped 27 points against SFG, even though his team lost.
However, he might take his game to the next level if he lands a massive NIL deal with Jordan. “I want an NIL deal with Jordan because my pops signed with Jordan. I feel like that would be fire,” the teenager said.
With an NIL value of $622k, Kiyan could potentially overtake Bryce James, who currently holds the top spot with $1.2 million if he secures this deal.
Dads on deck: LeBron and Melo cheer on their sons
The game between Kiyan Anthony and Bryce James was a big deal, mainly because their dads showed up to watch.
LeBron and Melo were on the sidelines, hyping up their sons and showing some serious support. Bryce was part of the Strive For Greatness (SFG) squad, while Kiyan stars for Team Melo.
Additionally, LeBron James posted a story on his IG, writing “Them ONES!!!” alongside a photo of Bryce and Kiyan going head-to-head.
Even though his son was facing off against Kiyan in the game, LeBron James showed love to both, knowing that they’ll push each other to be better.
Also, Kiyan, Melo’s son, is a good friend of LeBron’s.
The two dads were seen sharing laughs and chatting courtside during the game.
Even though there might have been some friendly rivalry as their sons went head-to-head, at the end of the day, it was all love. With both their sons coming up strong, could they be the future stars of the NBA? What are your thoughts on this?
