Brown has already put the Team USA snub behind him and is focusing on the upcoming NBA season.
Jaylen Brown is a force of nature on the court, and now he’s about to take his game to a whole new level. After being snubbed by Team USA, the Boston Celtics forward decided to channel his energy into preparing for the upcoming NBA season with a workout routine that looks straight out of a superhero movie.
It’s no secret that being left off the roster for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was a major disappointment for Brown. After his performance in the NBA Finals, where he was named Most Valuable Player (MVP), many assumed his spot on Team USA was a lock.
However, the selection committee passed over his name, not once, but twice.
While Brown didn’t make the initial cut, fans and media alike were convinced he would be Kawhi Leonard’s replacement when Leonard withdrew from the team. But that didn’t happen either.
With the Olympic snub now behind him, Brown has redirected his focus entirely on securing back-to-back championships for the Celtics.
His training regimen, though, is something out of this world.
Jaylen Brown blew fans away with his incredible workout.
Jaylen Brown’s jaw-dropping training routine
In a series of images and videos shared on his Instagram account, the eight-year NBA veteran gave fans a peek at his grueling and unconventional underwater workouts.
The footage shows Brown walking, jumping, and performing other exercises in an Olympic-sized pool.
In some images, the forward is holding a 60-pound dumbbell in each hand, while in others, he’s carrying a dumbbell in one hand and a basketball in the other.
He captioned the post with the phrase, “Live your advice.” The reactions from fans ranged from awe to disbelief. Former Celtics legend Kevin Garnett chimed in with, “Lord, @FCHWPO is underwater with a dumbbell in one hand and a basketball in the other. Shyt, might be over for everybody.”
“Crazy workout, champ, keep proving you’re on another level,” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, “Best player on the Celtics.” One fan humorously commented, “Jaylen Brown Drowns in Off-Season Prep, Emerges as NBA Aquaman,” while another simply stated, “Dude’s training like a beast! True champion.”
The Celtics will begin training camp on September 25, and their first preseason game will take place on October 4 against the Denver Nuggets.
The defending champions will tip off the regular season on October 23 against the New York Knicks, eyeing another postseason run and the chance to hoist the NBA trophy once more.
If Jaylen Brown’s eye-popping training sessions are any indication, the Celtics’ opponents are in for a tough season.
