Known for her very strong positions on NBA news, Anna Horford has this time turned her attention to the Olympic Games.

The sister of NBA champion Al Horford has indeed given her opinion on Algerian fighter Imane Khelif.

It is difficult to find an athlete for whom the 2024 Olympic Games are more trying than Imane Khelif.

Born a woman but with a male chromosome, the Algerian boxer found herself at the heart of controversy and slander following her victory against the Italian Angela Carini.

Not enough to prevent her from winning her next fight, but if she burst into tears a few seconds later.

Anna Horford fiercely defends Imane Khelif

For days, the young woman has been slandered from all sides and by some of the world’s greatest figures, with bestselling author J.K. Rowling accusing her for example (and she’s not the only one) of being a biological man.

Which has however been completely denied… Fortunately for the fighter, she benefits from a lot of support including that of Anna Horfod, from the same family as the Boston pivot:

Anna Horford: I hope Imane is doing well. And when she feels better, I hope she files a full complaint against all those with a big platform who incited hatred against her by using false information.

A particularly strong position from the sister of the 2024 NBA champion, who fiercely defends the boxer.

It should be noted that Angela Carini ended up publicly apologizing to her opponent on Fanpage and even wished him to finish the tournament in Paris with the gold medal hanging around his neck:

Hi Imane, I hope you go to the finals and that you win the Olympic Games. (…) I think that in this situation, none of us had anything to do with anything.

All these things that people have said, whether against me or her or in favor of me or her… We have nothing to do with it, we are here because we have a dream.

We are not here to judge me or Imane.

Imane Khelif is the subject of absolutely shameful slander, but she is not alone in this ordeal as Anna Horford’s statement proves.

However, she will have to face a real storm if she were to end up Olympic champion.
