Despite lower salaries, some WNBA stars have paved the way for the change in the dynamics of the women’s basketball league. From rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark to veterans like A’ja Wilson, everyone is landing lucrative offers. Wilson, who’s leading the league in scoring and endorsement deals, will have a special release with Nike next summer as per reports. However, the rookies aren’t far behind, as Reese will go toe-to-toe with the 2x WNBA champion.
According to Insider Nick DePaula, Reese’s debut collection, Reebok by Angel, will feature three footwear options and up to seven apparel pieces with the sports brand. “The ‘Reebok by Angel’ collection will be launched on August 23rd,” he wrote on X.
Reese signed an endorsement deal with Reebok last October. After proving doubters wrong with her stunning double-double record, it’s the right time for her debut collection. Her first collaborative capsule of shoes includes the Classic Leather, Premier Road VI, and BB 4000 II. Additionally, it boasts a series of apparel shining in colorways, such as “Silver Chrome” and “Always Blue.”
She has even added a personalized touch with the Angel Graphic Tee that reads, “When They Sleep On You…Tuck Them In!” Impressive, right? It will be dropped alongside the Angel Vector Track Jacket and Lux Bodysuit in the same colorway. With all this, Reese will not only be able to compete with Wilson but also with her fellow rookie, Caitlin Clark.

Las Vegas Aces star and reigning Finals MVP A’ja Wilson is set to debut the Nike Calm Slide colorway. While there are no official images confirming the color scheme, Sole Retriever’s post, reposted by Wilson herself, indicates it’s “Hyper Pink.” While Reese’s Reebok collaboration is set to release by the end of August, Wilson’s sliders will be out in 2025. Her Wilson x Nike Calm Slide Hyper Pink W will be sold through Nike and selected online and in-store retailers for $55, as per reports. Coming back to Reese, it isn’t her first time collaborating with Reebok.
Angel Reese’s bonds with Reebok
The Chicago Sky rookie inked a staggering deal with Reebok back in 2023. In fact, Reese has been one of the major faces of Reebok ever since she signed the NIL deal under Shaquille O’Neal’s leadership. Long before Reese’s recent footwear reveal, she gave a sneak peek into her collection during a game against the Las Vegas Aces.
As the “Chi-Town Barbie” walked onto the court, she showed off the Premier Road 6 sneaker and Lux bodysuit. On July 11th, Reebok posted a couple of pictures of her with the caption, “Queen Barbie about to take her stage.” Since the shoes featured sky blue splashes matched with silver detailing, she opted for a monochromatic bodysuit that melded perfectly with her kicks.
Ever since she arrived in the league, she has been stunning in Reebok solutions during matchups effortlessly. In June, she wore the “Joker” colorway hand-painted by Marvin Baroota in the game versus Indiana Fever and her arch-rival Caitlin Clark. On the other hand, Wilson became only the second Black woman after Sheryl Swoopes to sign a deal with Nike in 2002. While they might not be rivals on the court, their journey off it might intertwine.
