Angel Reese had an absent father growing up, but she connected well with her mother and brother, Julian Reese. The siblings bonded well competing against each other in the driveway.
And now that her childhood companion has grown to be in his senior year at the University of Maryland, he has a few revelations about his sister from his childhood experience. However, if Angel is to be believed then his brother is lying.
Julian was present in rapid-fire questions round with media when he was asked if Reese was right-handed or left-handed. “We both shoot with our left hands, but she’s really right-handed. But she just wanted to shoot like me so she switched them left-handed randomly,” Julian stated.
Seeing this, the 22-year-old tweeted the video and exposed his lie, as she wrote, “my baby brotherrr💞😭 not you lying saying i switched hands cause i wanted to be like you stoppp itttt😭🤣.” But Julian’s answers did not end there.
In fact, he had another bold admission for Angel.
Julian was further asked about the winner of the 1-on-1 competition. As mentioned previously, their mother instilled a love for the sport in them from a young age.
And the two would hoop together. As per Angel Reese’s own account, “We played all the time together. It helped shape me to who I am now.”
And going by Julian’s answer he would win the 1 on 1’s all the time. Though she did not react to this, it might upset her considering her competitive nature. But isn’t all fair when it comes to siblings?
But Julian also spoke highly of her sister. At the beginning of the video, Juju revealed that he has a WNBA connection as her sister plays in it.
Then he complimented Angel for “changing lives” and inspiring people. He further added that all this motivates him to be better with his skills. Therefore, the Reese siblings have bonded over their love for basketball, and beneath the mocking exterior, they love each other.
Angel Reese comes back to Julian after the W season
In September, when the Chicago Sky couldn’t make it to the WNBA playoffs, she returned home after her West Coast trip. The siblings were happy to meet each other and did a TikTok dance together.
Dancing to the tune of Surf Curse’s Disco the two had a wonderful time as Angel posted it on her social media. “My not so little brother,” Reese captioned the clip.
And next, they headed to the M&T Bank Stadium to watch a game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills, who had invited her.
The former Bayou-Barbie attended the game along with her brother Julian as she was gifted a Raven jersey. The siblings were photographed along with other guests including Bub Carrington and Quincy Wilson.
Looks like Angel had one hell of a time. And hopefully, the media will soon interview her mother Webb Reese who might tell the truth about her shooting hand.
And now that Julian grabbed the opportunity to make fun of her, maybe Angel, too, in her podcast, might reveal her brother’s odd traits while also walking down memory lane.
