Team USA is now just 2 steps away from scripting yet another historic Olympics. By brushing aside the D’Tigress 88-74 and securing their 59th win on the trot, they made it to their 8th straight semi-final appearance. Once again, the architect behind this impressive quarterfinal victory is their A’one forward A’ja Wilson. However, it seems that her fellow WNBA peer Angel Reese has her eyes set on something else other than Wilson’s historic exhibition.
The 2023 WNBA Finals MVP gave another glimpse of her ability to deliver on big-game situations. Not only did she produce her 3rd double-double at the Paris Olympics but the 27-year-old also became the first USA women’s basketball athlete to register 4 20-point, 10-rebound performance at the event. While congratulations and commendations are in order, for the ferocious Chicago rookie Angel Reese, the more delightful affair turned out to be the introduction segment of Team USA before the game. Expressing her thoughts via X, Reese tweeted, “the face cards on these olympic WOMEN!”.
Before any game commences, each and every player is welcomed on the court through their specific face cards. This activity takes place just before the national anthems of the respective nations are played inside the arena. While it was nothing new for Team USA, the confidence they showed amidst all this made the formalities more grand. And witnessing the squad eager to create their own legacy during this process caught the eye of Angel Reese.
While she might have missed out on Wilson’s accomplishment, the 3x All-American forward is making sure she doesn’t let a chance to meet a popular Tik-Tok entity.
Angel Reese wishes to try an “Espresso martini”
“The Corporate Baddie” Deandre Brown is in the town. He made the revelation by posting about it from his official X account. The post reads, “I been in Chicago for a month. I am ready to go back home to LA”. Following this, Chicago’s No.5 Angel Reese wasted no time in making plans with him.
The 22-year-old retweeted it from her X handle in order to connect with the eminent content creator. In a post captioned, “why haven’t we linked up??? i need to try my first Espresso martini with you!!!”, Reese extended some sort of invitation to him.
Well, hardly anyone would argue that Brown wouldn’t be passing on such an opportunity. As for Angel Reese, her off-court time involves a range of activities. Fans will be eager as to what’s next from this energetic Chicago rookie.
