WNBA rookie and fashionista Angel Reese was sporting a special jersey as she sat courtside at Barclays Center for Game 5 of the WNBA Finals Sunday in Brooklyn.
Her jersey had two UConn women’s basketball greats on it and was split down the middle: Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty on one side and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx on the other.
Reese shared a post on X Friday saying, “who can make me a half stewie half phee jersey by SUNDAY????”
And sure enough, she was wearing the jersey Sunday.

Stewart and former CT Sun star Jonquel Jones led the Liberty to victory in overtime, giving New York its first WNBA title. Stewart finished with 13 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one steal. The three-time WNBA Champion recorded three consecutive double-doubles in the WNBA Finals series, including a 30-point, 11-rebound performance in Game 3.
Collier led all scorers in Game 5 with 22 points. She also recorded seven boards, two assists, two blocks, and one steal. The 2024 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year averaged 19 points per game during the WNBA Finals series.
Reese became known for her fashion game in college when she led LSU to the 2023 National Championship. The NCAA Tournament MOP was drafted by the Chicago Sky with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The 2024 WNBA rebounding leader continued to serve looks in the tunnel prior to her WNBA games and courtside at NBA games.
The WNBA All-Star incurred a season-ending injury early in September. She averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game during her rookie season. The Sky were a fringe-playoff team prior to Reese’s injury, but the team’s record slid without Reese on the floor. Chicago did not make a playoffs appearance.
