Angel Reese is beginning her professional sports career in the city of Chicago, and she paid homage to one of the city’s greatest athletes of all time on Thursday afternoon.

Reese arrived to the Chicago Sky’s game against the Dallas Wings in a custom sweater filled with images of Michael Jordan.

Some of the moments commemorated on the sweater include Jordan’s championship wins as well as his victories in the All-Star weekend dunk contest.

Reese is building an impressive rookie campaign of her own with a string of double-doubles in each of her last six games.

She leads all rookies with 10.2 rebounds peer game, and if her offense can catch up with the development of her defense and rebounding, she has a real chance to become a star in the league.

Unfortunately for the Sky, Reese’s individual efforts in her last few games haven’t translated to wins.

Chicago has lost four straight heading into Thursday’s matinee against the Dallas Wings, with the team’s last win coming against the Washington Mystics on June 6.

They’ll look to get back into the win column with a victory over a Dallas team that has lost eight games in a row dating back to the end of May.

The Sky need a win to get their season back on track, and it seems that they’ll have a good chance to get there on Thursday.

The Sky will face the Wings on Thursday with another matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever looming on Sunday afternoon.

It’ll be the third matchup between Reese and Clark in the pros, and Clark’s Fever have been able to win each of the previous two meetings.

We’ll see what happens next in what has become one of the most interesting player-based rivalries in sports.
