“I live a double life”: Angel Reese bluntly calls out false claims about gym time (Image source: Getty)

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese responded to comments about her time in the gym on Tuesday in an episode of “Unapolegetically Angel” podcast.

In her podcast, Reese sat down with her longtime agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya. One of the issues tackled by both is the scrutiny that Reese is getting online. According to them, people questioned Reese’s rare posts about basketball.

“How come I have to post on the gym? What about all the other 143 women that are in the WNBA that don’t post they’re in the gym?” Reese said.

“I think it’s just because I literally live a double life,” Reese proclaimed.

Ogbonnaya referenced that a previous unrelated tweet of Reese garnered a harsh reaction from a fan about her training.

“The other day, last night, you tweeted something when you were defending Travis (Hunter) and his girlfriend. And somebody tweeted back something so snarky and rude and was like, something about you not training. And I was like, girl, go look at her Instagram story five hours ago. She posted in the gym. What more do you want?” Ogbonnaya said.

Ogbonnaya further stated that the reason for these criticisms is probably because Reese’s posts contain things outside of basketball. She further defended Reese’s training regimen and assured that the WNBA All-Star knows where her priorities are.

“It’s because you post so much about all the other stuff we have going on. But at the end of the day, we have a late shoot this week. And Angel literally called me and was like, ‘What time is my call time? I’m booking a workout.’ And she’s going to wake up at 5 AM (or) 6 AM to work out before. So we know where your priorities are at,” Ogbonnaya added.

Angel Reese defends Travis Hunter’s fiancee

Ogbonnaya mentioned the post by Angel Reese on Dec. 16, which was posted in defense of Leanna Lenne, Travis Hunter’s fiancee.

“leave that girl alone & let them be happy damn!” Reese posted on X.

Lenne garnered widespread criticism due to her reaction during Hunter’s career milestone. During the Heisman Trophy award, she was seen taking a moment to stand. Fans also noticed that Deion Sanders had to tell her to stand when Hunter’s name was announced as the winner.

As of this writing, Angel Reese’s post has garnered 9.7k likes, 958 retweets, and 505 replies. It also reached more than 932,000 views. The post sparked comments from fans and garnered scrutiny as well. It is unclear what the specific post mentioned by Ogbonnaya and Reese in the latter’s podcast is.
