“Like father, like son!” This saying perfectly captures the bond and similarities between LeBron and his son, Bronny James. After joining the Lakers, Bronny is not only following in Dad’s basketball footsteps but also making his mark off the court. With the King taking a short break from the recent game due to “personal reasons,” which JJ Redick described as an “excused absence,” James Jr. stepped up and took over the locker room.
Recently, the young gun was spotted enjoying a fun session with the popular mentalist, Oz, alongside the Lakers roster. The mentalist kicked things off by asking Bronny James to choose a partner, and naturally, he picked Christian Koloko.
“All right, Christian and Bronny, shake hands,” Oz instructed, kick-starting his gig. Then he added, “Watch this… When you’re teammates, you’ve got to anticipate everybody’s motions. You’ve got to know what people are thinking before they do.”
In an impressive display, Oz gave a slight touch to Christian’s nose after asking Bronny to close his eyes. He then turned to James Jr. and asked him if he felt it… Weird, isn’t it? BUT. To everyone’s surprise, Bronny replied, “Yes! A piece of paper on my nose.” How cool is that? But the young gun wasn’t the only one amazed by the magician’s skills.
His teammate Anthony Davis also fell for one of the tricks! Oz prompted him: “Right now, can you think of a person? Picture that person walking into this room right now, face to face. It’s a guy—think of his first name, and it starts with an X.”
And, just like that, he nailed it! The name was Alex, but here’s where it got even more fascinating: “Is it Alex? You don’t call him that, though,” the magician remarked before revealing that the name AD actually uses is Fudge.
“You call him Fudge, is that right?” Oz continued, and, indeed, he was spot on!

While it was all just a magic trick, it definitely left AD, Bronny James, Rob Pelinka, and the rest of the Lakers locker room baffled! Well, in a positive way, of course. Moments like this show how James Jr. is not just being a great teammate but also building close connections and making the most of his time with the LA team.
