LeBron continues to deny Father Time as he’s off to another hot start in the 2024-25 season.

James turns 40 next month but has recorded three straight triple-doubles.

The four-time Most Valuable Player is into his 22nd season in the league.

ESPN insider Shams Charania said, “My sense is next season could potentially be his last season in the NBA.

“Could he play another season after that to 2026 or 2027? Potentially.”

LeBron fulfilled a dream this year by playing with his son Bronny James.

His other son Bryce James is 17 and could declare for the NBA Draft in 2026.

“Maybe Bryce James keeps him around an extra year or two,” Charania admitted.

“But I do think, next season, All-Star Game in LA, there might be some good momentum there for that.”

James’ Lakers are off to a 7-4 start in the Western Conference.

Charania added that LA has a chance to compete for the title if they can keep LeBron and Anthony Davis healthy.

James as faced retirement questions for the last few years.

And this week he made a revealing admission.

“I’m not going to play that much longer, to be completely honest,” James told reporters Wednesday.

“I don’t know how many years that is.

“If it’s one year or two years, whatever the case may be.

“I said the other night, I’m not playing until the wheels fall off.

“I’m not going to be the guy who is disrespecting the game because I just wanted to be out on the floor.

“That won’t be me.”

James has won four NBA titles during his career and three Olympic gold medals.
