The WNBA star has to choose between the Chicago Sky and the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens
Angel Reese
Angel Reese continues to enjoy her WNBA offseason by trading basketball for football as she headed to watch the Baltimore Ravens take on and beat the Washington Commanders on October 13.
The 22-year-old forward grew up in Randallstown in Maryland, just outside of Baltimore, meaning that is the NFL side that holds her heart but she lost touch with her connection to football as she tried to forge her name in the NCAA with the LSU Tigers.
Now an established pro, who was in the Rookie of the Year conversation until her season-ending injury, Reese has decided she can reconnect with the sport a little more and can afford some extra time to watch Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry‘s plays.
The talented youngster was spotted in the stands as the Ravens narrowly edged out the Commanders 30-23 to claim an impressive win and continue their impressive start to the season despite a losses the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders in the first two weeks.
Reese, sporting a purple Ravens jersey, even found the time to socialize after running into the mother of the Commanders’ and LSU Tigers alumni, Jayden Daniels, as the pair posed for a photo.
The Sky player then posted the photo online to Instagram, in which the pair are spotted with matching necklaces, with the caption, “I’M HERE FOR THE RAVENS OF COURSE BUT WE HERE FOR 5.”
Lamar Jackson’s Week 6 stats
He continued that production against the Commanders in Week 6 by throwing for 323 yards (second most of the season) from 26 attempts (76.9%) and for one touchdown, although he was sacked twice and gave up an interception.
Jackson has now passed for 671 yards, five touchdowns and a 67.6% completion rate in the last two weeks showing he’s entering a purple patch and combining his exceptional talent with remarkable efficiency too.
