The Boston Celtics’ coach, Joe Mazzulla had one of the most bizarre ideas. Speaking about ways to spice things up in the NBA, Mazzulla opined that getting the players involved in physical altercations would be exciting. At the moment, the NBA has strict rules to combat the physical aspects of the game. However, according to Mazzulla, the fight game would further bolster the NBA’s reach.
Now, it is true that controversies and fights attract more attention. But to say that the NBA is losing out on popularity is a bit of a stretch. After all, it is still one of the most followed leagues worldwide. Trying to prove his point, Mazzulla gave the example of hockey and baseball, where the rules are very relaxed. However, reacting to the matter, Draymond Green had quite an opposing take.
The All-NBA forward has a reputation for being one of the most physical athletes in the league. Speaking on ‘The Draymond Green Show’, the 34-year-old said, “But like actual physical fights, Joe I’m here to petition against you because no we’re not doing that. Where that almost led me, I don’t want none of that.”
Draymond disagrees on Joe Mazzulla’s take that the NBA should bring back fighting:

Well, such a comment coming from Green holds tremendous importance. Green is well accustomed to the ill effects of being indulged in a fight. In fact, when he hit Jusuf Nurkic on the face. Facing the consequences, Green was handed an indefinite suspension. Meanwhile, focusing on the court, Draymond Green seems quite confident of the Warriors’ chances this season.
Draymond Green Sends A Warning To His Opponents
The Golden State Warriors seem to be having a dream run at the moment. Shrugging off a forgettable season, Steph Curry and co. have looked solid throughout their five games so far. Enjoying a 4-1 win-loss record, the Warriors are well on the path toward yet another NBA playoff run. However, the likes of Draymond Green are thinking further beyond.
Draymond Green:
“I'm not saying we gonna go win the championship but I'm saying don't let us win another f***ing championship.”

Speaking on ‘The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis’, the 34-year-old laid stress on Steve Kerr’s solid preseason training. Terming the experience as one of the rigorous of his career, Green said, “So, I think we did a great job of setting the tone, and we could not have asked for a better training camp, a better preseason than we had,” Green said. “… I’m not saying we’re gonna go win a championship, but I am saying don’t let us win another f**king championship.” Thus, with the war cry in full display from Green, it remains to be seen how the others respond.
