While he will most likely make his NBA debut in the coming months, or even weeks, Bronny James could come across a certain Victor Wembanyama.

In the meantime, he allowed himself a slight snub towards the Frenchman in front of a molten crowd.

Despite his status as the 55th overall pick in the Draft with relatively low prestige, he is one of the most anticipated rookies in the NBA this year .

Bronny James will indeed have the mission of living up to his name, or at least proving that he has a place in the league.

And what better way to do that than to shine against stars who have also had to justify the hopes placed in them in the past.

Bronny James unmoved after packing Wembanyama

Among the big names that Bronny could come across this season in the NBA is of course Victor Wembanyama.

The two young talents could face each other for the first time on November 15, as part of the NBA Cup.

Until then, the neo-Laker has not been seen training in recent hours, but unpacking packs of Topps cards in Santa Monica:

Standing in front of a crowd of children captivated by his actions, Bronny notably obtained a rookie card from Wembanyama, whose value could greatly increase over the years.

Problem: he admitted a few minutes earlier to only keeping one type of card:

Bronny James: I only collect cards from my dad, which are older.

True to this principle, the 19-year-old full-back was not particularly pleased with this Wemby-related find and even parted ways with it straight away:

The Angelino rookie can at least be satisfied with having made someone happy by offering said collector’s item to a young member of his audience.

Despite the enthusiasm surrounding it when it was revealed, Bronny James did not want to keep the interesting card from Victor Wembanyama that he inherited. It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will take it badly, as he positions himself as an expert in the field.
