LeBron James and Stephen Curry have had a long history of rivalry throughout their professional careers, starting with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors’ rivalry during the 2014-15 NBA season.

However, after recently playing together for their country, the mindset of both legends has changed.

They were both selected to represent the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Throughout the tournament, both stars delivered stellar performances, and their combined efforts led Team USA to win their fifth straight gold medal.

Curry, who recently poked fun at Anthony Edwards, played a crucial role in the 98-87 stellar win in the gold medal game against France, which surprised James.

During a recent interview with BasketNews, James opened up about what it feels like to share the court with Curry after years of rivalry between them.

“I’ve seen it before. In different uniforms. It’s good to be on his side. You just marvel at his talent. Obviously, I’ve seen it before, you know, on the opposite side. But having him on your side, you just try to get stops and figure out other ways on the other end, but keep finding him. Keep getting him the ball.” James said.

James said that he had seen Curry’s dominance in other uniforms before and that it was fantastic for him to be on the same team as Curry because of his extraordinary talent.

LeBron James Talks About His MVP Award at the 2024 Olympics

James displayed impressive skills at the 2024 Olympics. The 39-year-old star player delivered back-to-back outstanding performances for Team USA.

Due to his remarkable efforts for the American men’s basketball team, James was recognized as the tournament’s most valuable player after the conclusion of the 2024 Olympics. In an interview, James also discussed his MVP award.

“We won, that’s what’s most important. It’s an honor. I don’t know who the voting committee [is] or whatever the case might be. Super humbled that they even voted for me. It came with us winning gold – that’s what’s most important for me, but that’s pretty cool.” James added.

James mentioned that winning was more important to him than the MVP award. However, he also expressed that being voted MVP was an honor and he felt super humbled.
