Already victorious against Serbia, Team USA players followed up with a new victory against South Sudan.

Enough to push Royal Ivey, coach of the African selection and former NBA player, to a terrifying comparison concerning the Americans.

A few weeks ago, South Sudan created a sensation in the preparation phase against the United States.

The latter then needed a basket from LeBron James at the last second to win (101-100), to the great astonishment of observers of the orange ball.

Better still, Royal Ivey’s men signed a victory at the opening of the Olympic Games by beating Puerto Rico.

Last night, however, we were treated to the second round between Wenyen Gabriel & co. and the American armada… and this time, there was generally no match since LeBron’s gang won 103-86.

And this without some of the stars of the roster being at their best, as Ivey summed up after the final whistle:

I asked them to do it, but we just fell a little short tonight.

A little darling of these 2024 Olympic Games, South Sudan lost to Team USA, but coach Royal Ivey has no regrets after this David and Goliath-style clash.

All that’s left is to put on a good showing against Serbia, since a victory against Jokic & co. would potentially qualify them for the next round.
