And he has splashed out $9 million on a state-of-the-art yacht, which was delivered in 2022.

The 35-metre Infinity Nine has six bedrooms and a 44-square-metre deck.

It was also been designed with exploration in mind and is capable of sailing in polar seas.

Parker has been on the water since his early years in his family’s home in Normandy, France.

He has a passion for diving and also keeps racehorses in his stable.

Parker chose up-and-coming company AvA Yachts to produce his dream boat.

“AvA wanted to compete against the big shipyards,” Parker told Boat International.

“That’s the way I felt, when I was in France and I came to the US, so I recognised myself in that and I wanted to give them a chance.

“My dream is to go around the world and take our time to do it.”

Parker met met his captain Arnaud De Battisti and chief steward Geraldine Galas 10 years ago when he was holidaying on a boat.

And he brought them along as soon as he decided to build his own.

“I thought they were very disciplined and they had a good reputation,” Parker added.

“And I told [them] ‘When I retire, I would love for you to build my boat.’

“They thought I was crazy. They thought I would never follow up.”

Parker is putting some of the fortune he amassed on the court into horse racing, and he is seriously making it pay.

Mangoustine, a four-year-old filly Parker bought for around $50,000 has been just one of his growing stable of superstars.

The money means little to Parker these days, he just wants success on the track and to enjoy it alongside girlfriend Alize Lim.

Paris-born beauty Lim started making video features and interviewing other players before injuries effectively ended her tennis career.

She is now a broadcaster.
