Angel Reese et Caitlin Clark

The WNBA resumed this week, as did the debate between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

The latter just made a big impact on the courts this Friday night, to the point where even the commentators are throwing tackles.

As the WNBA season slowly approaches the end, the big debate is to know who will be named rookie of the year.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are far ahead of the competition even if the former is widening the gap.

Her statistics are much better and the Fever has a better record than the Sky, with 12 wins and 15 losses.

Caitlin Clark praised after her monstrous game

It is not the performance of the year, but it should be enough to make Clark the rookie of the year, she who crushed the competition again this Friday thanks to a 98-89 victory against the Mercury.

Clark was decisive with 29 points, shooting 8/16 from the field, 10 assists and 5 rebounds.

And rather than inflate her statistics like Reese, she prefers to settle for the victory.

Caitlin Clark is the first player in WNBA history to record 50+ points, 25+ assists in two games.

A staggering stat for Clark, especially considering that getting assists is much harder than getting rebounds.

Even the game announcer explained it live, with an undisguised tackle on Angel Reese.

“It’s easier to have a double-double with points and rebounds than a double-double with points and assists.”

It looks like the WNBA is waking up to the rookie of the year debate, with Caitlin Clark looking more of a favorite than ever to win.

But with a possible playoff berth, the young point guard has bigger goals in mind.
