Three sources told People on Friday that the former One Direction member was “kicked out” of the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires before he checked into CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where he died on Wednesday at the age of 31.

A separate staffer, meanwhile, denied to TMZ Saturday that the pop star was kicked out, claiming he “got pretty drunk” during his stay but was never belligerent and acted like a “good guy.”

After spending two weeks on vacation with the singer, Cassidy left the country on Monday.

Before he fell from the third-story balcony of his suite, the songwriter — who openly struggled with mental health issues and addiction — was reportedly behaving “erratically” in the lobby.
A fellow hotel guest claimed they witnessed Payne arguing with an unnamed woman about money, allegedly telling her, “I’ll give you $20,000 just because I can. I have $55 million, and I like to help people.”
He reportedly partied and “drank alcohol” with two prostitutes hours before his death; however, the sex workers claimed the pop star seemed “normal” when they were with him.
Another hotel guest claimed they observed “disturbing” behavior from Payne, who allegedly explained to them, “I used to be in a boy band. That’s why I’m so f–ked up.”

Witnesses in the lobby said the musician smashed his laptop and had to be carried back to his room.
The hotel manager then called 911 and explained that he feared Payne would harm himself because of his state of mind.
By the time police arrived, “Payne had already fallen from the balcony of his room and died on the spot due to the severity of his injuries,” the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office said.
Investigators believe Payne was likely in a “state of semi or unconsciousness” when he fell, noting that he was likely under the influence at the time..

Forensic experts “pointed out that the cranial brain injuries were sufficiently suitable to cause death, while the internal and external hemorrhages in the skull, thorax, abdomen and limbs contributed to the mechanism of death.”
