Angel Reese delivers the final checkmate to Caitlin Clark after appearance with the Queen of Elite… Rihanna: ‘She is the one”

Reese has known how to attract more fans since her arrival to the WNBA.

At just 22 years old and fresh off her rookie season in the WNBA, Angel Reese has mastered the art of self-promotion and celebrity.

Whether it’s through her podcast “Unapologetically,” attending high-profile events like the Met Gala, a pre-Olympic event at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, sitting courtside at the NBA, or sharing her daily life on social media, Reese isn’t afraid of criticism.

This fearless attitude makes her both entertaining and controversial – a reputation she’s carried since her college days at LSU, where she famously made a gesture toward Caitlin Clark during the National Championship.

Reese Meets Rihanna While Winning Style Influencer of the Year

Angel Reese lives in Chigaco, but is currently living in Miami as she prepares for the new Unrivaled League, an innovative 3v3 women’s basketball competition that will run from January 17 to March 17. With time to spare before the tournament, she continues to attend high-profile events and mingle with top celebrities.

Last night in New York, where she attended the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAA), Reese met and shared a moment with Rihanna, posting a video to her Instagram in which the singer praised her immensely – check it out.

Reese’s visible excitement and heartfelt words to Rihanna show that she’s a huge fan, and the meeting was clearly a dream come true, much like her WNBA debut.

Reese wasn’t just another guest at the event; she was awarded “Style Influencer of the Year,” proving her determination to excel and solidify herself as a top celebrity in the near future.

The reason for Rihanna’s presence? Her partner, A$AP Rocky, received the “Collaboration of the Year” award for his work with Puma.

How Angel Reese’s Second Season Will Shape Her Legacy

Now, Reese faces the challenge of her second season as a professional in the WNBA after a rookie season cut short by injury.

That season, however, she led the league in rebounding with an incredible 13.1 boards per game, the highest average in WNBA history.

She also grabbed 446 rebounds, breaking Sylvia Fowles’ single-season record of 404.

Although MVP A’Ja Wilson eventually surpassed that record, Reese was on pace for 500 rebounds before her injury.

If she stays healthy next season, she’ll undoubtedly become the first player to reach 500 rebounds in a season.

The best way for her to continue to grow in stature is to raise the level of her game, because that’s where her true spotlight lies.

The reality is that she has some shortcomings offensively, but she’s still very young and those can be improved.

To help with that, the Chicago team has brought in a new coach, Tyler Marsh, who previously worked with the Las Vegas Aces and 3-time MVP A’Ja Wilson, whose physical style is similar to Reese’s. Marsh has already stated that the team will be built around Reese and Kamilla Cardoso going forward, a solid plan that will put Reese in the spotlight even more.
